Throughout my military career, serving in both the Army and Navy, I've witnessed firsthand the tragedies that come with defending our nation. I've stood beside brave men and women who never returned home, and I've carried the weight of their sacrifices with me every day since.

These fallen service members embodied the traditions and values that define true America and what every American should aspire to be. Their courage in the face of danger, their commitment to duty despite the personal cost, and their devotion to their fellow service members represent the highest ideals of our nation.

On this Memorial Day, I won't offer a long speech or present a video. Instead, I simply ask that you join me in a moment of personal silence to honor our brave fallen servicemembers. Let us reflect on their sacrifice and the families they left behind. 

May we never forget their service, their sacrifice, or the profound debt we owe them and their families.
