Meet Elliot Valdez.

“We are living in a time of profound change, and with that comes the opportunity to choose our path forward. We can either cling to the fading remnants of an old era, or we can seize this moment to build a future worthy of our children. I believe in the character of our people. Let's choose a future defined by accountable leadership, where we learn from the past, act with integrity in the present, and build a stronger, more unified Georgia for generations to come.”

Elliot Valdez

Candidate for Georgia State House, HD 139

Service isn't just something I learned; it's the family I was born into. Raised by a mother and father who both served in the Army, I learned from a young age the meaning of duty, sacrifice, and the profound responsibility of giving back to your country.

I answered that call myself, beginning a 23-year journey in service to our nation. As a Navy Aviation Electronics veteran, I served on the front lines, executing high-risk missions to protect our pilots. Later, as U.S. Army Combat Camera, I documented history from the deserts of Iraq with the 4th Infantry Division to the mountains of Afghanistan with the 2nd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division. My service also took me around the world, including a tour in Korea and three years with the American Forces Network in Germany, where I served as a broadcaster, keeping our soldiers informed and connected to home from the front lines and across the globe. I saw the world and the cost of conflict through a lens, capturing the raw reality of our soldiers' courage and sacrifice. I was there on November 5th, 2009, at Fort Hood, serving as a first responder and cameraman during one of our nation's darkest moments on a military base.

After 14 years of active duty, I continued my service as a civilian, helping build the U.S. Army's multimedia production house and later serving as the Broadcast Team Lead for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. I retired as a federal employee with the same sense of duty I had as a young sailor.

Today, our political climate feels out of control, and I believe we are standing at a crossroads. This is a moment that will be written about in the history books, and we have a choice about which side of that history we will be on. It's a time for our voices to be unified, not just for our district, but for Georgia's future.

This is why I'm running. This campaign isn't about making hollow promises; it's about taking action. It's about ensuring every single person in this district is registered and ready to make their voice heard. It's about fighting for the kind of responsible growth that brings new opportunities and good jobs to our communities, while protecting the natural character of this district that we all cherish.

I'm not a career politician. I'm a veteran, a public servant, and a man who knows what it means to get the job done. I’m running for the Georgia House of Representatives because I believe our district deserves a leader with the personal courage to stand for what is right. It's time to turn the page on the old era of politics and write a new chapter for District 139, one built on trust, unity, and a shared vision for a future where every family can flourish.
